Laag Holland - Amsterdam's backyard

Bureau Toerisme Laag Holland Holland has been the destination marketing organisation (DMO) for the Laag Holland region since 2010. Together with our partners, we continuously promote Laag Holland to both residents and regional, national and international visitors. We combine the large and well-known attractions with the hidden pearls of the region, thus positioning Laag Holland as an attractive destination for leisure activities and (multi-day) stays.

The bureau works together with over 100 tourism and recreation partners, various recreation boards, municipalities and the province of North Holland to continue strengthening the'Laag Holland' brand and destination.

Laag Holland Maker's Market

The Laag Holland Makers Market is an initiative of the Purmerend municipality and the Bureau Toerisme Laag Holland. In 2025, this atmospheric market will once again take place four times on the Kaasmarkt in Purmerend's town centre. Here, around 25 local makers from the region will have the opportunity to present their crafts and products to residents and visitors. Would you like to sell your home-made or artisan (produced/grown) products from the region? Then sign up as a maker soon.
