Pavilion Smit-Bokkum has been Volendam's culinary calling card for over 150 years. The 5th and 6th generations of Smit-Bokkum work here daily with the utmost dedication to give you the very best Volendam has to offer.
Paviljoen Smit-Bokkum is home to the world-famous artisanal eel smokehouse where Volendam's one and only most famous condiment has been smoked since 1856.
In the restaurant, you will find the original house-smoked delicacies along with a selection of primal Volendam regional dishes. Dinner or lunch can ideally be combined with a tour of the eel smokehouse adjacent to the restaurant or a visit to the Palingsound museum above the smokehouse. At Smit-Bokkum, eating becomes an authentic culinary experience, and you taste a flavour and hospitality as it was once intended.
