1. Where can I park in Purmerend?

In the centre of Purmerend, you can, park your car on the street at various locations. Parking rates vary by area and range from €1.50 to €3.15 per hour. Paid street parking applies between 09:00 and 21:00 from Monday to Saturday. On-street parking is free on Sundays and public holidays. You can pay by PIN at the various parking meters or via mobile parking app. The parking map of Purmerend municipality shows all public parking spaces with parking fees per zone.

Purmerend has three car parks in the town centre: Eggert Winkelcentrum, Claxonate and Stadhuispleingarage. In the car parks, paid parking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The parking garages charge different rates per hour and/or day.

2. How do I get to Purmerend?

Purmerend is centrally located in the heart of Laag Holland and is very well served by public transport.

Purmerend has three train stations. Purmerend train station is a 10-minute walk from the centre, with direct connections to Zaandam, Schiphol and Amsterdam Sloterdijk from here.

Bus station Tramplein is the bus station in the centre of Purmerend. From this bus station, direct buses go to Amsterdam, De Beemster, De Rijp, Alkmaar, Edam and Volendam.
