2. Parking in Volendam
In Volendam, there are several places where you can park, both free and paid. There are three large free parking areas where you can park:
- Slobbeland, Slobbeland, 1131 AB Volendam (about 10 minutes' walk to the Europaplein)
- Marinapark, Strandweg 1, 1131 PM Volendam (about a 10-minute walk to Europaplein)
- Parallelweg 2 Parking, Parallelweg 2, 1131 DM Volendam (about an 11-minute walk to the Europaplein)
There are also paid parking options and spots where you can park with a parking disc:
- Havenhof car park, Zeestraat 21, 1131 ZD Volendam
- Parking garage Centrum Volendam, Boegstraat 2a, 1131 XB Volendam

In Volendam, there are several places where you can find public toilets. There are toilets in the parking garage of Winkelcentrum Havenhof and in the car park on Parallelweg. Those walking along the harbour can find toilets at Haven 2 and Haven 154, indicated by signs, so there is always a toilet nearby!

From Volendam, you can easily take the ferry to Marken. Board the Volendam-Marken Express and enjoy a scenic boat trip of about 30 minutes across the water. The trip offers you the chance to experience a special part of the Netherlands. The ferry departs from Haven 38, 1131 EP Volendam. It is an ideal way to discover the authentic atmosphere of both villages.
