1. Where can I find the VVV in Volendam?

You can find Volendam's tourist office at Zeestraat 37, 1131 ZD Volendam. They are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The VVV may also be open on Mondays, depending on staffing levels. The friendly staff will be happy to help you find the best tips for your visit to Volendam!

2. Parking in Volendam

In Volendam, there are several places where you can park, both free and paid. There are three large free parking areas where you can park:

  • Slobbeland, Slobbeland, 1131 AB Volendam (about 10 minutes' walk to the Europaplein)
  • Marinapark, Strandweg 1, 1131 PM Volendam (about a 10-minute walk to Europaplein)
  • Parallelweg 2 Car Park, Parallelweg 2, 1131 DM Volendam (approximately an 11-minute walk to Europaplein)

There are also paid parking options and spots where you can park with a parking disc:

  • Havenhof car park, Zeestraat 21, 1131 ZD Volendam
  • Parking garage Centrum Volendam, Boegstraat 2a, 1131 XB Volendam
  • Parking Zeestraat, with parking disc max. 1.5 hours

3. Where can I find public toilets in Volendam?

In Volendam, there are several places where you can find public toilets. There are toilets in the multi-storey car park at the Havenhof shopping centre and in the car park on Parallelweg. If you’re walking along the harbour, you’ll find toilets at Haven 2 and Haven 154, indicated by signs. So there’s always a toilet nearby!

4. How do I get from Volendam to Marken?

From Volendam, you can easily take the ferry to Marken. Board the Volendam-Marken Express and enjoy a scenic boat trip of about 30 minutes across the water. The trip offers you the chance to experience a special part of the Netherlands. The ferry departs from Haven 38, 1131 EP Volendam. It is an ideal way to discover the authentic atmosphere of both villages.

5. Where can I rent a bike in Volendam?
