Welcome to Huize Leeghwater
On 5 December 2019, after years of searching for a suitable location, our dream began. Nathalie & Gertjan knew exactly what they wanted. Organising body & mind retreats and making our accommodation available for business meetings. But also hosting guests in one of our four lovely studios and surprising them with home-cooked organic meals, whose ingredients mostly come from our vegetable garden and orchard.
In everything they do and develop, nature and sustainable treatment of the environment are central.

How much better do you feel after a good night's sleep? Rested to start a new day? The comfort of our studios will certainly not be lacking. The double suites are luxuriously furnished and fully equipped. Fantastic box-springs, a kitchenette and a spacious and nice walk-in shower with organic care products. The kitchenette has a fridge, a 2-burner induction hob and oven. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine and kettle. From the studio you look out over farmland to one of the forts of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. You can enjoy your breakfast on your own terrace in the morning.

Meetings
When you arrive at Huize Leeghwater, you immediately experience the peace and energy. Our unique location is situated a stone's throw from Amsterdam and yet right in the middle of the beautiful World Heritage landscape of the Beemster. The rural surroundings and beautiful nature guarantee inspiring meetings, stimulate creativity and invite you to let go of traditional frameworks and open up to the new. Between meetings, you can stretch your legs and visit our organic vegetable garden, the apiary or the sheep flock.
The ground-floor room can accommodate about 16 people and the large windows offer a wide view of the green surroundings. In spring and summer, the sliding doors to the terrace can be opened, bringing the outside in more. The beautiful room on the first floor is used for a 'kick-start' session and can be used as a break-out room if necessary.
