In its original historical sense, a labyrinth is the designation for a linear form, a sign, which had its origins in prehistoric times.
Labyrinth - Hans Leutscher
In its original historical sense, a labyrinth is the designation for a linear form, a sign, which had its origins in prehistoric times.
In our current parlance, a labyrinth can be understood as an indistinguishable situation that has a structure but is not so clearly perceptible. Metaphorically, then, everyone's life can be understood as a quest through an imaginary labyrinth, on the way to insight and self-knowledge.

Drawn for worries mind & Sleep for hunted child - Loek Hambeukers
When making sculptures, the artist sometimes finds that they cannot actually be small enough.

When making sculptures, the artist sometimes finds that they cannot actually be small enough.
He would want to leave them in an endless steppe; where another could ever find them.

Möbius cycle - Erik van Spronsen
In the front view, the 24 elements describe a complete circle of 360° but also always tilt 7½° transversely, so that an element is turned 180°, i.e. upside down, after a circular passage.

A form emerges, where notions of inside and front no longer apply, as they gradually morph into their opposite.

The material is cast iron because he wanted to make the most perfect "outdoor sculpture" possible. The upper block appears to have been cut from the lower one, then tilted and shifted.
Line-point plane II - Egidius Knops
As the title line-dot-plane suggests, the so-named work is a composition made up of lines, point and planes.
Line-point plane II - Egidius Knops
As the title line-dot-plane suggests, the so-named work is a composition made up of lines, point and planes.
The column as a base and supporting element balances on a single "point" intersecting "lines", supporting a body (cube) made up of "planes". A game with gravity and balance, static and unstable, Ying and Yang. An interplay of forms where abstract constructed elements evoke associations going back to nature. A connection is created between architecture and nature.
In Balance - Gerard Höweler
The artist tries to achieve a shaky balance with pieces of stone stacked on top of each other, which are pieces from a circle.

It is, incidentally, a seemingly shaky affair. Exciting, however, is this performance. He is inspired by stone as a material and by the way it is worked. The material represents mass, volume and weight.
Vision - Petra Boshart
Both the words vision and vision are wrapped up in the English word.
Vision - Petra Boshart
Both the words vision and vision are wrapped up in the English word.
On the one hand, it is an outward look: a vision of the world; on the other, an inward look: an image of the mind's eye. It is your own eye before which you can see. The narrow slit and rays are also reminiscent of an instrument to catch the sun's light.
