Tour of the Defence Line of Amsterdam

On Sunday 7 June, you get the chance to enjoy a unique combination of history and sportsmanship. You will cycle partly along the Defence Line of Amsterdam. This impressive line, built as a military defence system around Amsterdam, together with the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie forms the UNESCO World Heritage Hollandse Waterlinies since 2021.

! With several distances, there is a suitable route for every cyclist, from recreational tours to sporting challenges. Along the way, participants pass historical forts, locks and dykes that once played a crucial role in defending Amsterdam. It is a unique opportunity to experience the rich heritage and beautiful landscape while enjoying being outdoors and fresh air. With revamped routes and care stations, this edition of the Ronde van de Stelling van Amsterdam will be one not to be missed!
