Step inside a piece of history and experience the military past on a tour of the museum at Fort aan den Ham.

Since the 1990s, enthusiastic volunteers have been working to restore the fort to its original state. Many of the rooms have now been restored and furnished with historical objects, giving you a good idea of life at a fort in earlier times.

The fort can be visited from April to October, on Wednesdays and every last Sunday of the month. Its location also makes it a popular spot for cyclists, often as a starting point, resting point or stamping post on tours such as the Tour of the Defence Line of Amsterdam.

Next to the fort you will find the original genius shed. Fully restored by Stadsherstel in 2019, it now houses a creative collective of artists and entrepreneurs.
