The two child-friendly cycling routes are full of fun facts about regional products and farm life. With the included sticker sheet, every visit becomes a party: after each stop, place a sticker on the map. 2. Playgrounds in Laag Holland

3. Discover Waterlandsmuseum de Speeltoren

4. Spotting gnomes in De Beemster

Children can join Bennie the Boskabouter on an adventure in the Beemster Arboretum! During the walk along the Gnome Path, gnomes show the way and children discover nature in a playful way. The path is open daily and accessible free of charge. Make the experience even more fun with the gnome pack: a booklet full of assignments, a pointed hat and knapsack. Afterwards, you will receive a gnome diploma! Please note: the gnome package must be booked in advance.

5. On expedition in Etersheim

Expedition Etersheim is a beautiful walking route (3 kilometres) that takes you through the historic Etersheimerbraakpolder. Along the way, you will enjoy the beautiful views over the Markermeer and learn more about the history of this area. The route offers interactive experiences and takes you past mini museum De Waterwolf, the Schooltje van Dik Trom and the Etersheimer Braakmolen, among others. Ideal for families and lovers of culture and nature, this route combines beautiful landscapes with fascinating stories from the past.

Cost: the route, the mini museum and the Brekermolen are accessible free of charge. For the Little School of Dik Trom, there is an entrance fee of €1 for children under 12 and €3 for adults.

6. Adventure in Het Twiske

Recreational area Het Twiske consists of a third of water and offers numerous opportunities for swimming, diving, surfing and sailing. It is a favourite spot for families, where children can have fun in and around the water. For adventurers, there is the Adventure Playground, where you can discover the pirate ship, take the ferry across the water or cross the land at a great height via the cable car. In addition, the Speelsloot and Spartelvijver provide endless water fun. A perfect place for a day of adventure and discovery!
