TOP Marken
TOPs are Tourist Transfer Points. At each TOP, you can park your car and then explore the rural surroundings by bike, on foot or by boat.
At each TOP, you will find routes on the information kiosk, which will introduce you to the most beautiful spots, the peace and nature of Laag Holland. Along the way, there are resting points and catering establishments at surprising locations. The TOPs will help you find them. The TOPs can be recognised by their green information columns.
Discover the beautiful island of Marken full of history, special stories and beautiful nature. Stroll through the picturesque village past the historic green houses and imagine yourself in a piece of authentic Holland. Walk along the dike to 'Het Paard van Marken' and enjoy the amazing view over the Markermeer. The Marker Museum shows the life and traditions of the past and at the end of the day you can relax in one of the cosy pubs and restaurants. Who knows, maybe a beautiful sunset awaits you!
