Marker Museum
The Marker Museum is housed in buildings from the 16th century and consists of six fishermen's houses. The Kerkbuurt is the oldest neighbourhood on the former island of Marken. The museum presents a picture of life on Marken, past and present.
One of the cottages in the centre of the museum is furnished as a Marker fishing family lived in it for centuries until about 1932. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum presents an annually changing display of the unique Marker costume.
