Farmhouse 'Boschrijk'
A farmstead built in 1875 for a grain merchant from De Rijp. Noteworthy is the South Holland barn, i.e. the cows were not facing the outer wall but towards the middle where the feeding alley was.
The barn then contained two rows of cows. Notable is the foliage, which was a sign of prosperity in the construction period. Farm consisting of a partly cellared, villa-like front house with a simple stable at the back. The front house is built on a rectangular ground plan and consists of two storeys under a compound roof with gentle slopes and wide overhangs. The roof consists of a hipped roof with a perpendicular gable on the front and both sides, giving the front house a central gable on these sides. The wind feathers of the overhanging gabled roofs and the guttering are richly carved. The wind feathers meet in carved makelaars. The roof has a square red-brick chimney at both ridge points and is covered with black cross-tiles.
The wallwork is white plastered and with mock joints. The windows have rounded and decorated frames.
