Following the success of *In de Schemering*, Hans Dagelet, Esther Apituley and Guus Janssen, together with actress Julia Herfst, are returning with a new production: *De Hemelbestormers en een Kluizenaar*.
The world is harsh, noisy and full of contradictions. As you sip your first cup of coffee of the day – black and unyielding – the news is already upon you once more. What does it mean to be human in this day and age? In *De Hemelbestormers* and *Een Kluizenaar*, three characters each set out in their own way in search of answers and, above all, a different dimension to life.

The three ‘sky-stormers’ all have their own vision. Hans seeks out the unusual, defies logic and channels his frustration into provocative texts by Don Duyns. Guus is the down-to-earth survivor. He just goes along with things, because that’s just the way it is. And Esther seeks meaning in everything, with seriousness, musicality and a touch of spirituality. Together they form an unlikely but powerful trio. They clash, doubt, laugh, yearn and yearn for even more. For peace, simplicity, for a new ‘code of life’. One in which humanity once again takes precedence.
When words fall short, the music speaks. Guus Janssen on the keyboard, Esther Apituley on the viola, Hans Dagelet with his voice and body. They seek, rub against one another and find each other in sound. The music they play ranges from Bach and Chopin to Ellington and Nat King Cole.
And amidst their quest, the voice of the hermit is occasionally heard: the seeker of silence, the observer from afar. What if silence sometimes says more than words?
