During the traditional cheese market in Edam, experience how the cheese trade took place in Edam in past centuries.
The traditional cheeses and Edam bulb cheeses are transported by boat to the historic square, where it is a special spectacle between weighing, trading and moving the cheeses. A real must to attend during a stay in Laag Holland and only visit during the months of July and August.
During the Cheese Market, on Wednesdays, VVV Edam and the Edam Museum are present to inform visitors about all the activities Edam has to offer.
