Busch and Dam & Krommenieroute
This purple-marked route is a line from Busch and Dam to Krommenie. A nice connection with nice stops at special places along the way.
The official starting point of the route is in Krommenie (Kervelstraat 257), as here you can easily park your car and launch your canoe. However, there are several locations on the route where you can launch your canoe, so you can also choose to start elsewhere
First sail towards Busch and Dam for a stop at the picnic spot, a beautiful undiscovered spot to enjoy and dream away from the shore. Complete the day by visiting the Fort aan den Ham a little further on (accessible on foot). Fort aan den Ham is a military museum and is regularly open for visitors.

Afterwards, you sail back in the direction of the starting point to continue the canoe route towards Krommenie. While canoeing here, you can still see various parts of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. If you want to discover more cultural heritage and also visit Fort K'IJK, you can do so by continuing along the Crommenie route (the red canoe route).
Sail through some residential areas of Krommenie towards the meadows and the polder where you can breathe in the peace and nature. When you reach the end point, you can choose the same route back or continue on a different colour. The end point is close by with Windmill De Woudaap in sight.
