Klaas Hoorn and Kijfpolder route

(2.8 km)

The Klaas Hoorn and Kijfpolder route is a short but beautiful circular walk through the Klaas Hoorn and Kijfpolder and along the shores of the Alkmaarder Lake.

This typical Dutch peat meadow area has many unusual plants such as sundew and orchids. Walk criss-cross through the meadows and across ditches. Along the way, chickadees and geese fly above your head while twittering.
