Krommenie monument trail
The Monument Route Krommenie will introduce you to Krommenie and its rich history. This cycle route is a beautiful route that takes you past Krommenie's most important old buildings.
The route runs mostly through the built-up area of Krommenie, but you will also encounter nature along the way. Especially in Agathepark and along Krommeniedijk and Westdijk. This route takes you on a journey back in time, with typical old-Zaanse monuments. Cycling along the Krommeniedijk, you also get the idea that nothing has changed here in all those years.
Along the way, you come across many very old monuments, some dating back to the 16th century. Several buildings from that time and later are still well preserved. The history of Krommenie and the Zaan region is still visible through these buildings. This cycle route takes you past these old monuments and places of interest in and around Krommenie.
