At the petting zoo, visitors can come into contact with all kinds of farm animals. Children are allowed to enter different pens and almost all animals can be touched.

In addition to a living area, the current petting zoo consists of a stable with various animal species, cuddle corner and a dock used as a stable and/or nursery, an educational room/classroom where cheese-making demonstrations, lectures and exhibitions are organised, a staff room and a large hayloft. Outside, there is an animal pasture, a chicken run, a rabbit mound, a duck pond, an apiary and an orchard with various apple, pear and plum varieties.

A number of people from the Prinsenstichting are present at the petting zoo during the week. They help on the farm with all kinds of tasks. Children from and around Purmerend also do social internships at the petting zoo.
