Dorregeest is a lovely beach with slide located in Uitgeest. The beach is very suitable for families with small children. This is because the shallow part (up to about 1.40 metres deep) is marked off.
This allows you to clearly indicate to young children how far they can go. Beyond is the vast Uitgeestermeer lake. From your swimming spot, you can enjoy the boats passing by. Meanwhile, children can build beautiful sandcastles in the sand. Would you rather kick a ball around or play another game? Then you can do so on the lawns surrounding the beach!
Please note that at the bottom of the lake there are sharp shells, including mussels. It is therefore useful to wear water shoes.

These only apply to the spot where they are posted. There are often enough places left where the water is of good quality and where you can swim to your heart's content.
