Simonehoeve cheese and clog farm
The Simonehoeve is an original cheese farm and clog factory just before Volendam (right next to Van der Valk Hotel Volendam). During the free guided tours - 365 days a year - you will see how real Gouda cheeses are made and how wooden clogs are carved by hand.
In the shop, you can try on clogs, taste cheeses (from nettle cheese to garlic cheese!) and even have personalised clogs engraved.
Reservations are not required for small groups. Just drop by during opening hours! For larger groups, it is recommended to contact us in advance.
Besides the free tour, you can attend various workshops, such as:
- Making farm cheese
- Making clogs
- Mosaics
- Wooden shoe painting
But other activities are also available, for example:
- Farmers Tienkamp in the fields, or inside if the weather is bad
- High cheese
- Folklore dancing
For large or small groups, family days, company outings or a fun day with the family, the staff at the Simonehoeve can also put together a tailor-made day programme. Lunch or a cup of coffee with a delicious fresh pastry can also be arranged. Everything is possible.
