Resting point: The Museum Mill
A beautiful resting point in Schermerhorn, that is Rustpunt De Museummolen. This mill is a seventeenth-century polder mill that helped reclaim Lake Schermer.
This resting point is a wonderful place for a short (lunch) break. You will find a picnic table, kettle and Senseo machine at this resting point, but you will also find what you need for repairing a flat tyre or charging an electric bike.
Take a seat at the picnic table and, with beautiful views of the unspoilt Schermer polder landscape, enjoy your homemade sandwich with a cup of coffee or tea. Didn't bring anything yourself? That's no problem either. The museum windmill also has a limited catering facility with a choice of coffee, tea, chocolate milk, ice cream, soft drinks and a Schermer mole (= filled cake).
