De Ridder petting zoo
In a traditional North Holland cheese-cover farm you will find Children's Farm de Ridder. Surrounded by an orchard, animal pasture and the Leeghwater Park, this is a lovely place for a day out.
Outside, there is an animal pasture, a chicken run, rabbit mound and duck pond. On the farm, various animals can be viewed and petted, such as ponies, donkeys, calves, rabbits, sheep and goats. Come to the cuddle corner soon!
Besides a living area, the current petting zoo consists of a stable with various animal species, cuddle corner and a dars (stable) used as a nursery, an educational room/classroom where cheese-making demonstrations, lectures and exhibitions are organised, a staff room and a large hayloft.
Outside are an animal pasture, a chicken run, a rabbit mound, a duck pond, an apiary and an orchard with various apple, pear and plum varieties.
Opening hours
- Open daily from 10.00 to 17.00 from March to October.
From November to February, every day from 10.00 to 16.00.
