Julianastraat 9 - Wooden half-timbered house
Contact
This wooden villa was built in 1920 by F. Abel for Mr D. Kooiman, then mayor of Purmerend.
The property is situated in an all-round freehold location on a plot on Julianastraat and it concerns a so-called block house, which was delivered as a construction kit at the time. The villa is of general importance from an architectural-historical point of view because of its unusual construction method in wood, which has been preserved entirely intact. Furthermore, the villa is of general importance from a cultural-historical point of view as an example from the history of housing.
