Get to know the rich history of Volendam via the 't Burgerpad route, a walk lasting about two hours. Along the way, you will pass sights, wall photographs, collages and lecterns with stories about the village. The route also includes hidden stories that bring Volendam and its history to life. Each location features a painter who captured the village on canvas in the last century.
For only €3, you get access to the route as well as a digital portal full of historical and cultural information, including photos and paintings from that time. The stories can be read along the way or viewed later at home at your leisure.
