Cruysoort or Kruisoord
The only non-parcelled piece of land in the polder is Kruisoord, an 'island' in the polder. Because it would cost too much money, the ring dyke was not constructed around Kruisoord. After much negotiation, this result was achieved and the shortest route was realised. You can still see an elevation in the landscape. With the construction of the A7, the Kruisoorderweg was closed off and is now a green (walking) road.
