Post and telegraph office later secretary's office

In 1916 Middenbeemster got a modern post office, a design by architect J. Molenaar jr. Already in 1923, it was given another function and became the municipal secretariat.

On the large letterbox, the word 'letterbox' was changed to 'municipal secretary' which is still there.
In May 1993, the municipal secretariat here was closed and the staff moved to the new town hall at Rijn Middelburgstraat 1. Now it serves as a residence and office.
