Discover Purmerend's rich history? Then join a guided town walk led by the Gilde Purmerend en Omstreken. They will tell you all about Purmerend in a walk lasting up to 2 hours.
Everything? No, there is so much to tell about the town that several themed walks have been chosen, each taking place on the first Saturday of the months of March to September. The walks start at 13:30 at the VVV | Museum Shop(Peperstraat 35). Registration is possible until 15:00 on the previous Friday afternoon at the VVV | Museum Shop at the latest, mail or phone.

Group walks
In addition to the monthly walks, customised group walks can be booked throughout the year. Choose from one of the themed walks or a historical walk with a visit to the Purmerend Museum. Hollandia walk
The Guild also organises the so-called Hollandia Walk in cooperation with Berging Brewery and Rozemeijer Eten en Drinken. Besides a walk through the city centre, the walk includes a visit to the brewery and lunch or dinner at Rozemeijer. Information and organisation is via Rozemeijer Eten & Drinken.
