Grootschermer is a beautiful polder village that forms part of the municipality of Alkmaar. Eight times a year, the former village church is transformed into an atmospheric and intimate theatre.
The church has an intimate atmosphere and is renowned for its excellent acoustics.
Podium onder de Toren offers a surprising and varied programme: from musical theatre to cabaret, world music, jazz, improvisational theatre and classical music, featuring both well-known and lesser-known artists. There’s always a performance to suit your taste.
Before each performance, you’ll be welcomed with coffee or tea, and there’ll be time to socialise.
