In Kijk Luister Dijk, the dike takes you into its world via 14 different locations along the Markermeer. With at each location a different short story about living with the water, told by a quirky dike who has seen it all before.

Episode 7 - Shipbuilders of Edam
When this sweet lake was a salty sea centuries ago, the town of Edam was known for shipbuilding. Fishermen everywhere, sailors, sailmakers, rope makers. And as a dyke, I saw them all pass by at close quarters, those huge ships. But when this beautiful lock had to be built, everything changed.
