Garden park Kweeklust
Just across the Schellingwoude bridge, a few minutes' cycle from the ever-advancing city, lies the quiet garden park Kweeklust.
Apart from 103 cottages with beautiful gardens, you will also find a clubhouse, a shop but also a playing meadow, a pond, a kingfisher wall, a butterfly triangle, a bee colony, a walking trail and an (adventurous) stump trail.
Kweeklust is a public allotment park. The park has a lot of general greenery, which is accessible to everyone and maintained voluntarily by the gardeners. Workshops are organised, there is a public cutting and stuff market every spring, they have a soup garden where some gardeners from Kweeklust grow vegetables and herbs in containers and there is an open gardens day every year.
