Tram | village walk
The arrival of the tram line (Amsterdam Purmerend-Alkmaar) provided faster access to the Neighbourhood with the outside world.
For people but also goods. The line ran on this (north) side of the Rijperweg. There was also a section of double track on the Buurt so the trams could pass each other.
