The Swan Lake
The Zwaansmeer in Uitgeest is a lovely, safe swimming spot for children. The gently sloping beach and ball line that marks a depth of about 1.40 metres provide a safe environment.
The pond is demarcated from the large Uitgeestermeer lake, making it wonderfully manageable. This is especially handy if you have young children. You can play or relax on the large lawn close to the beach. If you don't feel like swimming, there is also a cableway, a swing, goals and poles to play badminton or volleyball.
Feeling peckish? Then head for the snack wagon, which is there in good weather. Really a place to enjoy with the whole family, from young to old.
Please note that at the bottom of the pond there are shells from mussels, among other things. It is therefore wise to wear water shoes.

The province of North Holland monitors the hygiene and safety of official swimming spots, from 1 May to 1 October. If a warning or swimming ban is required, it is announced on the beach with a sign. Want to know in advance whether the water is OK? Then check the water quality and safety information in advance.
