Joost Spijkers is known as one of the Ashton Brothers. But he also produces his own music programmes. He has previously performed at Podium onder Toren with a wonderful show. Everyone was absolutely thrilled, so Joost is returning to Grootschermer.
*Ziel en Zalig* is subtitled *Hope and Comfort in Times of Fear*. Spijkers sings and speaks of his intense longing to be part of a grand and compelling life. Particularly in these trying times, when the news mainly brings us madness and horror, it is important to make people laugh again, to offer hope and to help them believe in a future in which the world heals and love triumphs. In 2018, Joost won the Poelifinario for the most impressive theatre programme in the cabaret category. In 2021, he won the Annie MG Schmidt Prize for the best theatre song, ‘Welkom thuis’.
