In October, come and see Marion Karremans-Burger’s work in the window of the VVV in Purmerend.
From 5 October to 2 November 2026, Marion Karremans-Burger’s work will be on display in the window of the VVV | Museum Shop in Purmerend.
Marion draws her inspiration from nature and the images around her. Her work reflects influences from Art Nouveau and Japanese art, amongst others. She works with various materials, combining textiles with glass and, at times, mirrors.
On display in the shop window at ‘ Peperstraat ’ are three works that reflect the landscape: ‘Gifts of Nature’, reeds; ‘Gifts of Nature’, birch trees; and the three-dimensional textile work ‘Reed Landscape’. The use of textiles and glass creates a sense of depth and transparency in the works.
