During this film café, Co Schipper takes the audience back to De Rijp in the 1970s through special historical film footage. The programme includes various shots that give a vivid picture of village life in those days.
Before the break, The Making of Lucky Star will be shown first, followed by footage of Queen Beatrix's visit to De Rijp in 1973. After the break, the programme continues with film footage of the 1974 cycle race. The evening concludes with colourful village footage from 1971, which also features well-known village characters. Together, the films form an atmospheric and recognisable portrait of De Rijp in the 1970s.
The evening is part of Erfgoedpodium Schermereiland, an initiative of Oudheidkundige Vereniging het Schermereiland, Museum In 't Houten Huis and De Groene Zwaan.
