Poster art in the shop window

Come along to the festive opening of ‘Kunst in de Etalage’!

On Saturday 5 September at 3.00 pm, Nadine Stolk, director of Cultuurhuis Wherelant, officially launch ‘Art in the Shop Windows’ at the Wereldwinkel, transforming Purmerend’s town centre into one large open-air gallery with artworks on the theme of ‘Purmerend & Beemster’ displayed in 36 shop windows.

From 5 to 27 September, the public can vote for their favourite artwork. Voting forms are available at the Tourist Information Office and participating shops, which can be recognised by a special poster designed by Lars Karsten. Three voters will have the chance to win their favourite artwork. Furthermore, the first 100 voters to hand in their forms at the Tourist Information Office will receive a unique miniature artwork created by artists from the Kunstcollectief.

The winners will be announced on 30 September at 5.00 pm by Mark Intres, Councillor for Culture, during the opening of the Retrospective Exhibition at the Town Hall.

Come along, cast your vote and discover art in the city centre!
