Trees by Edith Bijkerk

The exhibition ‘BOMEN’ by artist Edith Bijkerk is on display at Museum In ’t Houten Huis in De Rijp . In the early 2000s, inspired by her fascination with trees, she created a series of colourful oil paintings, a selection of which is now on display.

Using different colours and shapes, Bijkerk expresses a variety of feelings and moods – from trees in the crisp morning light to trees in the stillness of the night. The paintings invite visitors to look at them at their leisure and find their own meaning in them.

The paintings are on sale for €850 each, including the frame. Sets of postcards featuring images of her work are also available in the museum shop.

The exhibition can be visited until March 2027 at Museum In ’t Houten Huis, 13 Tuingracht , De Rijp.
