On Sunday 23 August between 10.30 am and 2.00 pm, IVN Waterland is organising a fun and educational afternoon full of nature activities at the De Dwarsgouw botanical garden on the Trimpad in Purmerend. Whether you want to learn more about plants, insects, birds or nature in Waterland: there’s something for everyone!
What can you do? Join a mini-excursion on ‘plants/mosses’, ‘insects’ or the ‘botanical garden’ with an experienced nature guide. Make your own little insect hotel out of reed. Follow the informative walking trail through the botanical garden and learn about all the little corners Waterland . Take part in a treasure hunt and try to find everything pictured on the treasure map. Play the ‘little creatures’ memory game or identify the objects in the nature discovery box. Dig a little ditch and learn more about aquatic animals, or test your skills on the challenging ‘botanical garden and marsh’ competition course.
Suitable for all ages, free entry. Do pop along and enjoy an afternoon full of nature, fun and new discoveries.
