During Art Month, discover the special exhibition ‘Ode to Hille Butter’, featuring paintings, photographs and drawings centred on this iconic woman from Volendam.
During Art Month, Hotel Spaander will host the special exhibition ‘Ode to Hille Butter’. The exhibition pays tribute to Hille Butter (1891–1968), who was regarded by many national and international artists as one of Volendam’s most remarkable artistic models.
For the first time, several paintings by Hille Butter can be admired together. The exhibition is complemented by works from various artists who have captured the beauty, culture and character of Volendam. There is also space for photography and a series of drawings by Cindy Butter.
