Open Monument Day at Fort bij Spijkerboor

Take a look around the soldiers’ sleeping quarters and washrooms, the army kitchen with its enormous cooking cauldrons, the chapel and the prison. It’s as if the fort was abandoned only yesterday!

The fort is open to visitors free of charge between 11.00 and 16.00 only during Open Monument Days.

Of course, the coffee bar will also be open on both days, serving coffee, cake, sandwiches and other treats. Make yourself comfortable in the secret garden and enjoy a lovely day out!
