Gerson Main - Away from this party

Gerson Main takes the audience into the foyer of a care home, the place he describes as "the face of his fear of growing older". Here, deterioration and the loss of friends, family and career are visible, but you will also find acceptance and endless life advice. Together with his band, Gerson develops a dialogue that rests on powerful songs and poems.

Away from this party is a musical celebration full of recognition, humour and stillness, connecting young and old.

He now describes the style of his music as "a fusion of everything that touches me. Soul, gospel, Brazilian swing, Dutch music by Ramses Shaffy for example, Corry Brokken.'
