You will find Edam 's VVV in the historic town hall on Damplein. From Monday to Sunday, staff are at your service from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the best tips for your visit to this charming town! From November to February, the VVV office is closed on Mondays. In addition, the tourist office is closed on 25 and 26 December and on 1 January.

The historic cheese markets in Edam are held every Wednesday morning in July and August from 10.30am to 12.30pm. The market day begins and ends with the ringing of the bell, often by a prominent guest from home or abroad.

EBS buses leave from the IJ side of Amsterdam Central Station and head towards Edam and Hoorn. You can use bus lines 310, 312, 314, 316, 317 (rush hour) and 318. For up-to-date travel times, visit www.ebs-ov.nl. Please note that there is no train connection to Edam.
