Today, this fort helps protect the meadow birds, plants and insects that live on and around the fort.
In the interactive experience centre Fort K'IJK, the fort keeper and the forester take you through the fort in an audio tour. They will explain the protective function of the fort then and now along the way. Nice to combine with the guided tour. Tickets are available at the tearoom.

You can enjoy a drink and a snack in the fort's tearoom.
