3. Cow hugging

Come cow cuddling in North Holland!


At visitor farm De Kastanjehoeve in North Holland, you can cuddle cows with the cow hugging package (25 euros per person). The package is a complete outing! Upon arrival at the farm, you will be kindly welcomed with coffee/tea and something sweet and given a questionnaire. After the reception, you will practice your painting skills, get a tour of the farm and finally go cow cuddling.

Cow hugging is a unique experience, but did you know that it also has a relaxing and calming effect? A cow has a calming effect on people and inspires confidence. Each cow has its own character and idiosyncrasies. In nice weather, you meet the cows in the field and in bad weather in the loose barn.

(Bicycle) supping

Noiseless through the water!


A few years ago it came over from Hawaii: stand-up paddling. Better known as supping. Today, this sport is perhaps more popular than ever, and for good reason, of course! Fancy experiencing it for yourself? Then hire a supboard from one of the rental companies in Laag Holland and paddle right through the natural landscape.

Noord-Holland has many special spots for supping, such as the Ilperveld, Oostzanerveld and the Eilandspolder. While supping through the unique landscape of Noord-Holland, you can enjoy the silence, the swaying reeds, the birds and much more.
