Cycle-boat excursion Landsmeer

Sailing, pedalling and snacking

On Saturday 24 May, Landschap Noord-Holland, Municipality of Landsmeer and Bureau Toerisme Laag Holland Holland, together with local (catering) businesses from Landsmeer, are organising the 'Varen, Trappen en Happen door Landsmeer' (Sailing, Stepping and Happen through Landsmeer) bicycle-boat excursion. This special tour offers a surprising introduction to the unique landscape, stories and flavours of Landsmeer.

Discover Landsmeer by water and land

Departing from the Ilperveld Visitor Centre on the Kanaaldijk at 10:00, 12:00 or 14:00 by boat, accompanied by a skipper and guide from Landschap Noord-Holland. During the approximately one-hour cruise, you will sail straight through the picturesque Ilperveld: a mosaic of peat meadows and hundreds of islands. On the way, the guide will tell you about the rich nature and the origins of this special area.

Get on your bike

After the boat trip, you will be dropped off at the Weegbreesingel in Landsmeer, where your bicycle - which has sailed along on a separate boat - is already waiting for you. From here, your exploration by land begins, based on the route suggestion or your own route.

Culinary stops along the way

Along the way, with a special stamp card, you can visit various local (catering) entrepreneurs for tasty stops and fun promotions. You will be warmly welcomed at Hardebol Nature Farm, Café De Drie Zwanen, Twiske Haven, Taste of Landsmeer, Restaurant De Zuyd, Déli Evie - Nuts, Cheese and Delicatessen, Multi-ice, Viswinkel Willem Molenaar and De Kipboetiek. In short, a complete day out dedicated to nature, exercise and good food and drink.
