Rest point: Forest polder
This Rustpunt is located between Krommenie and Uitgeest, on the Zwaansmeerpad. This cycle path is part of, among others, the ferry route and is located in the Woudpolder between nodes 84 and 87.
This beautiful cycle path takes you along the Uitgeestermeer, the Stierop and the Markervaart. The Woudpolder is a watery meadow bird area. Birds such as black-tailed godwit, curlew, avocet, spoonbill, great egret, hen harrier, buzzard and goshawk are regularly seen here.
Our resting point is very quiet and rural. Cars and other motorised traffic (with the exception of electric bikes) are not seen here. From the resting point, you look out over the Woudpolder on one side and over the Markervaart on the other. For people who love nature and peace and quiet, this is a lovely resting spot. This resting point is open all year round.
