The campsite is located between Broek in Waterland and Monnickendam on the lake de Leek, in the middle of the Waterland nature reserve.

They are open from April to October. It is not compulsory to book. However, it is best to call the manager in advance so he can receive you.

The lake is a great place to swim, canoe or take a whisper boat. The campsite has a small harbour with swimming jetties. Especially for visitors, they have a camping field by the water (with jetty). They also have two natural-looking camping fields at the far end of the site, between the fields and ditches. You are almost literally standing among the cows and sheep here! Both fields have shady pitches.

The campsite has very basic facilities. There is no canteen, no camp shop, no WiFi and no electricity facilities at the pitches. However, there are toilet and shower facilities with hot and cold running water and a washing-up area with hot water. In bad weather, you can use The Dome, a spherical, plastic building from the 1970s.

Due to the small scale of the site and the type of ground, there is no space for caravans, and only limited space for small campers. So please enquire about the possibilities in advance. The campsite is also suitable for groups such as sailing schools or canoe clubs. The manager can tell you more about the possibilities.
