The picturesque hotel has 23 rooms housed in five characteristic North Holland mansions with a beautiful, waterfront, manicured garden in between.

The rooms are furnished with rustic pine furniture and equipped with cosy box-spring beds with very high-quality mattresses. Over the beds are beautiful handmade patch-work bedspreads. Most rooms overlook the tastefully decorated garden or the water of " 't Boerenverdriet". In summer, you can sit in the garden and enjoy the flowers, singing birds or pleasure boats bobbing by. You can also just stroll through peaceful Edam or do a little shopping in the nearby town centre. And if you would like to explore the surroundings a bit more, you can also rent a bicycle.

Restaurant "De Fortuna" offers a varied range of surprising and ever-changing meat, fish, poultry and game specialities. All dishes are prepared traditionally from the best ingredients offered by the different seasons. A new menu is presented every 6-7 weeks. In addition, there is regularly a delicious complete seasonal menu outside the regular menu. The restaurant has around 80 seats and an extensive terrace with another 90-100 seats.
