Farm "The Little Beehive"
The Kleine Bijenkorf stands on inner plot (BK) 59, allocated to Gerrit Dirckz Meerman of Delft in 1612.
Purchased in 1828 by the Honig family (Cornelis and Klaas) from the Zaan region. They owned starch factory 'De Bijenkorf' there and gave the farm its name. The brothers had bought the Grote Bijenkorf at 192 Middenweg a few years earlier. Notable is the beautiful decoration of the eaves incorporating a beehive, as well as the double front door and window shutters.
